I think those people {who rated poorly} were expecting much resemblance with Mahabharta so they were disappointed and rated so. At Box Office, Rajneeti is just behind 3 idiots and Ghazni.

Every star of Rajneeti are liked by audience as our poll indicates; however, Ranbir Kapoor is slight ahead. It was not expected because his character is in this film very bad and even he suspected that kids and females fans of him may not digest his so much gray character in Rajneeti.




Rajneeti was special for Katrina Kaif in many ways and it proved too. Katrina Kaif is really going ahead very strongly in Bollywood and with every films her position in Bollywood is going stronger and stronger and now she would be first choice of any kind of film because she has proven she has talent and ability to learn fast. Her next movies are Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan and Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara and Karan Johar's Dostana2.

Rajneeti is really entertaining movie. Audience wonders how Shruti Seth was reacting with her love making scene with Prithivraj Pratap (Arjun Rampal). She was overeacting her sexual pleasure to please him and for Prithivraj Pratap it was not a new thing even such over reaction. These little things make Prakash Jha's movie very special.

However, it is not best movie of Prakash Jha in my opinion and also not a typical Prakash Jha movie. Character of Ajay Devgan in Gangajal may have inspired many new police officers and will be doing so, but in Rajneeti one cannot find any character who can inspire anybody positively so this rajneeti is Kalug Ki Mahabharta on sliverscreen.

Amitabh Bachchan: Aarakshan will be first movie of Amitabh Bachchan with Prakash Jha. He will be doing a role of a principle of college who is against Aarakshan.

Saif Ali Khan: Saif Ali Khan is in Aarakshan and Prakash Jha has chosen him because he thinks he is very well suited for the chracter and not inspired by his performance in Omkara.

Deepika Padukone: According to rumors, Deepika Padukone is in Aarakshan because she is most suitable for role as she is tall and is acceptable as a daughter of Big B on screen.

People would be missing Ajay Devgan this time in Prakash Jha's upcoming movie, but Prateek Babbar has potential to fullfill his absence.

Aarakshan Ban Controversy

Aarakshan got banned in Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Punjab while other states will decide later after seeing movie and people's reaction to the movie.

Prakash Jha has chosen really bad subject to a make film because it is directly related to vote bank of politician. Subject is also very controversial because it is directly related to youth and is a burning issue.

UP, AP, and Punjab have banned Aarakashan because they think there would be problem with law and order. Ban by these govt. can be justified because politic oriented people would like to take advantage of this movie.

Prakash Jha is saying that movie is balanced and is not for favoring Aarakashan nor anti-Aarakashan, but their are dialogues that are shown in promos can be exciting to youth to cause dispute and then there is chance of disturbance in law and order. Furthermore, promos itself says India Vs India, accepting that India is divided in two parts by Aarakashan so any minor dispute can be very dangerous.

Lately, Prakash Jha agreed to take minor cuts, but now nobody is ready up until now is ready to hear him, sadly.
